Terms of service

Who we are. PatchClock is operated by João Pedro de Sousa Ribeiro, a sole trader in Portugal ("we"). Contact: hello@patchclock.com. Full details are in the legal notice.

The service. PatchClock is software that helps software vendors organise the work the EU Cyber Resilience Act asks of them: an incident and vulnerability reporting runbook, SBOM and vulnerability alerts, a support period page, a hosted security.txt, customer notices and document templates. The free readiness check is provided as is.

Not legal advice. PatchClock is a tool. It does not give legal advice and does not guarantee that you comply with any law. You remain responsible for your products, your reports to authorities and your decisions.

Payments. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices are shown excluding VAT, which Paddle adds where it applies.

Subscriptions. Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Founding member prices stay the same for as long as the subscription stays active.

Founding members. Founding member access starts on 15 December 2026. If we do not open access by that date, you can ask for a full refund. See the refund policy.

Your account and data. Keep your login details safe. You own the data you put into PatchClock. We process it only to run the service, as described in the privacy notice. You may not use PatchClock to scan or probe systems you are not allowed to test.

Availability and liability. We work to keep PatchClock available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Changes. We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies.

Law. These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
